Jon Mercurio joins the museum to strengthen community and corporate partnerships

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (March 10, 2022) — The Saratoga Automobile Museum is proud to announce Jon Mercurio has been appointed as the new Director of Strategic Partnerships. This position within the museum will strengthen well-established community and corporate ties and help to expand the museum’s reach through new collaborations. The increased focus on strategic partnerships will bolster the museum’s ever-evolving educational and exhibit programming.

Mercurio’s strong background, diverse experience in account management, sales, and relationship building on a nationwide scale, is expected to increase interest and investment in the museum. Jon has a strong connection to the museum community having served as a volunteer at the museum as a weekend docent and event assistant.

“We are delighted is joining our team here at the Saratoga Automobile Museum,” said Carly Connors, executive director, “His understanding of what the Museum can offer our members and community partners will help expand our partnership and fundraising efforts to provide the necessary fiscal stability to enhance our exhibit and educational offerings.”

Mercurio, a native of Hillsborough, New Jersey, received his Bachelor’s in Communications from Rutgers University. His most recent position was as a Market Manager for Apollo Valves, an internationally recognized manufacturer of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing valves and fittings.

About the Saratoga Automobile Museum: The Saratoga Automobile Museum was chartered in 1999 and officially opened to the public in June 2002. The Museum’s mission is to preserve, interpret and exhibit automobiles and automotive artifacts. We celebrate the automobile and educate the general public, students and enthusiasts to the role of the automobile in New York State and the wider world. In addition to technical and design aspects, our educational focus is on the past, present and future social and economic impacts of the automobile.
